An impromptu photoshoot with my favorite friend, Colleen Bedenbaugh! We got together Friday for lunch and planned a mod styled shoot for Saturday, and it was a great idea. She agrees with me that it was a great idea, and she laughed at me when I typed that. Once we decided to go mod, we took to the pinterest and invited the wonderful Karrie Lykins MUA to do her makeup in the correct style. Colleen already has a very 60s style, so the clothing choices here were easy to come by. Check out the images and let me know what you think!
I had a shoot the other day with one of my favorite families - The Tooles. I have known the Toole family for years. I used to watch Nick when no one was home, and Kelsey helps out Karrie Lykins the makeup artist. They asked me to do a shoot for Kevin as he is running for North Augusta city council, so go give him some support!!!
It snowed yesterday in Clemson. Actually according to my northern roommate, it's not snow (it's ice). She's not wrong, but for a southerner, it is as close as we get. I find the snow (ice) to be very relaxing though because it drowns out sounds and gives me a great excuse to not leave the house. But what does one do when they are in the house all day? Here are a few things that keep me busy on cold days that you could do as the weather gets worse!
1. Paint a winter scene
2. Bake or cook something warm to share with the roomies (like apple pie)
3. Organize the kitchen
4. Jam out while doing all of this
5. If you're like me and have exams this week, study your butt off
6. Make snow cream (requires previous planning...)
7. Watch Christmas movies and decorate
8. Learn a new skill (cross-stitch, embroidery, juggling, etc.)
9. Have a friend over and hang out with some hot cocoa
10. Enjoy the heck out of your day off!
Clemson University's longest print magazine is The Chronicle. This semester, I had the pleasure of being the layout editor and it was a joy ride of art and literature. As layout editor, my committee and I design and put together the whole thing including the fonts, colors, paper, and styles. You wouldn't think that picking out paper would be exciting, but it is for me!
At the beginning of each semester, we have a huge brainstorming event and we chose the theme of a Phoenix. We followed a pattern of birth, life, death, and revival. The works accepted were categorized by this and the colors flow alongside them. It was an exciting theme, and I highly suggest you check it out. There are copies in racks around campus, so go and pick one up! Check out our website as well, and look for some of my recent work!
