You all have spoken, so may I introduce the Valentine's/Galentine's Mini Sessions!!!

This year, they will be held at The Pier at Clemson's actual pier (yes, there is one all the way in the back of the neighborhood and it is gorgeous) on January 30th from 3:30-5:30pm.  We have five 15-minute time slots for you and your significant other or best friends.  We have a cozy picnic theme all set up and I cannot wait to show you!  You will also receive 5-7 digital images via an online gallery and access to my print shop!

For Covid safety,  everything will be wiped and disinfected prior to each session and I will be wearing a mask. As a student, I am also tested weekly and do not go to in-person classes.  Social distancing will also be enforced, except between you and your other(s) because snuggling in makes for a very cute photo.
Here are the time slots and they book quickly, so grab yours soon!!!
3:30-3:45 no longer available
3:55-4:10
4:20-4:35
4:45-5:00
5:10-5:25 no longer available

2021 is booking fast

As 2021 begins, I cannot wait to see all you gorgeous people at my sessions.  For my seniors, I suggest booking early!  If December graduation was any indicator, if you would like me to photograph your senior moments, I would schedule something soon.  For my couples, my January and February dates are almost full, so if you're looking for some cozy winter portraits, I would start booking now.  If you aren't a senior or a couple, you do you but dates are filling quickly!

This session below was a mentor session for another local learning photographer who normally does street style.  We had so much fun and cannot thank Liz enough for driving from Atlanta to model for us!  I have loved seeing my mentees grow and learn their own style through some of these sessions and I cannot wait to see what they do this year.

As always, stay safe and stay well!

Tiktok is really fun

All the cool kids are on TikTok and now so am I!

I've been on the TikTok for a minute, but I am finally getting the hang of posting photography material and not just videos of my cat child (which are still up if you want to see his cute fuzzy butt).  I think that this is going to be a great new thing for the new year!  Speaking of the new year, aren't you sooo ready for 2020 to be over?  Same.  Although, despite the pandemic, I have had a great business year and would like to thank you all for that.  Without you beautiful people, I wouldn't be able to do what I love.

I hope you all stay safe and happy in 2021 and I cannot wait to photograph you, your life, and your love.  See you soon!

Clemson Masters Program

My first grad student graduation!!!  Ariel will be graduating this semester with her Masters in public administration and she is killing it!
She had one of my favorite requests and that was to include her friends from other schools into her session.  Between them, there are 6 degrees from at least 3 different colleges.  When I tell you that these are some smart women, I am not kidding.  It was a great way to end my line of seniors for the season and I cannot wait to see all of these gorgeous women go out and kick some butt!
Oh, and don't let me forget about Ariel's killer orange sparkly high heels!  I am in LOVE!

What's better than a little behind the scenes with Amanda at her senior session?

We had so much fun this day and I am soo thankful for Alex, who followed along and captured it for us!

And now you get to see a glimpse at what a session with me is like!

As the end of the year approaches, I thought I would share my favorite photos of this year.  I have been lucky to be able to continue shooting as much as I have through covid and online school.  Each of these shots hold a very special place in my heart and I cannot wait to find out what next year brings.
Also, don't forget that I do gift cards if you're looking for a gift for May graduate or an adorable couple who just needs some new photos in their house!

Chalk Couture

Have you tried this chalk couture???  My cat and I thought it was pretty fun.

My wonderful, fabulous 8th grade science teacher is now an independent designer for chalk couture and she was kind enough to give me a sample baggie of one design, chalk paint, a black circle chip, and a tiny spreader.  She also included some ribbon, which my cat child got a hold of before I could so that I could make it into a Christmas ornament.  The design was right up my alley and the ribbon. . . well, it was well used. . .

Not only does the paint itself come off with water and a sponge if you mess up a little, but it is so easy to use with the template.  All I had to do was wet the paint a little in my bowl and go for it!  It was super easy and I just might try to make another something something if they have plant or photography based designs!

If you have been watching the facebook videos and have thought about trying it, hit up Mrs. BR Smith.  She's pretty cool.

She did it!  She graduated!  And she knows sign language!
Amanda is one amaze balls woman whom I had the pleasure of meeting last year.  She has worked her butt off through college and in college.  She is currently doing internships with elementary level students in Aiken and she is literally making moves.

Another Govie Graduated Early

Another Governor's School kid has graduated early!  And early isn't even the half of it.
This is Shelby, a kick butt woman with one heck of a career goal.  Now that she has graduated from University of South Carolina, She plans to go to med school in Greenville, SC to work in primary care such as being an OB or doing other family related medical things.  Not only is she smart, but she is so nice (like, I could never handle doing the things that she does and will do).  I would 110% trust her to take care of me and my family and I am so excited for her and she better keep in touch!

I don't usually do family sessions; but when I happen to be in the area, how can I say no?  I just need to spotlight Kayla's family and her review really quick because I teared up when I read this!

"I just want to say that Sydney Rose is amazing! Unfortunately due to COVID we have been unable to have family portraits taken, things finally relaxed a little and I was able to book a session with Sydney. And I am so glad that I did!! She took the time to give me direction about outfits and appropriate colors for the four of us. She walked me through every step and answered every question. It was truly nice to have someone listen to what I was looking for and actually deliver just that. Sydney is very professional yet also fun. I was super excited and anxiously waited to get the photos back. She initially stated that she would have them back to me within a week and she had them back the next day! I understand this may not always be the case but I was thrilled to get them back sooner. I could not stop looking at the photos I got in return, I was truly amazed at the images she was able to capture and the quality of them. I was beyond impressed by her work and would hands down refer her to anyone that I can! I am already considering booking her again next year for my daughters one year portraits! :)"
