A CLUMSY PHOTOGRAPHER

What is in my Bag?

When I started photography six years ago, I had my phone.  I would watch videos on what real  photographers used; and now that I think I have a grasp on the art, I want to share with you all the equipment I use!

I got my first camera the summer before my 10th grade year.  It was a Nikon D3000 from craigslist.  It was perfect, and was exactly what I needed for my high school photography class.  With it, I had 2 kit lenses.  They were simple ones, just a 28-55mm and a 70-200mm.  I mostly used the shorter lens because my subjects were not real far away.  Eventually, I got a tripod and a remote clicker so that I could do self portraits.  I had one series that I loved using a tripod and a remote setup that I will show soon.

Recently, I bought a Nikon D750, which is a full frame camera (meaning it does not have a crop sensor in the body and can take larger images).  It is AMAZING and has more details than my beginner camera.  Don't get me wrong though, my first camera is great but I've grown out of it.  With my Nikon D750, I use a 50mm and 35mm prime lenses.  I love my 35mm, but the nifty fifty has that name for a reason.  It is very compatible with just about anything that I need it to do.

I also keep a lot of random things in my bag, like gum and a cd that I can use to bend light if I'm feeing it.  I've got lens wipes, too because you can never be too clean!  Sometimes I put snacks in the outside pockets, because let's face it, I like snacks and so do my models.

Let me know if you have any questions about what is in my camera bag!
